EDELWEISS

Edelweiss, a symbol of Switzerland, has been native to altitudes of up to 3,400 metres for thousands of years and has developed into a rich source of antioxidants due to the extreme climatic conditions and UV radiation. These antioxidants can rejuvenate the skin, protect against harmful UV radiation and provide long-lasting moisture. No wonder the “silver star of the Alps” is so popular in the cosmetics industry!

Edelweiss has been cultivated for several years in the sunniest region of Switzerland, Valais. To ensure that the antioxidant concentration is maintained, cultivation must take place at an altitude of 1,000 to 1,500 metres above sea level.

The precious extract of edelweiss is obtained from the above-ground parts of the plant. Thanks to the natural defences that edelweiss has developed over thousands of years, it can protect the skin from free radicals and thus preserve its youthful radiance.

The legendary “silver star of the Alps” is rich in tannins, which are considered by the cosmetics industry to be a real rejuvenating treatment for the skin. But that’s not all the alpine flower has to offer: it is also known for its antibacterial, antiseptic and vasoconstrictive properties. A true all-rounder, it contains flavonoids that are said to protect the blood vessels from the formation of spider veins and couperose.

Edelweiss is undoubtedly a cult product and impresses with its uniqueness and incredible effect.
